Nicole Auringer
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Nicole Auringer graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in sound recording technology and minor in film. She completed a fellowship with The Television Academy in the sound category, and interned at a post-production studio, Ponysound. She submitted a feature film she mixed in atmos to the 150th AES Student Recording Competition in the Sound for Visual Media category and won the Bronze Award. Aside from her work with Soundcrafter, she worked as an ADR Engineer at Studio Nano and is now an Audio Engineer at Dallas Audio Post and works on a wide variety of projects.
Brett Bach
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Brett joined the Soundcrafter team in 2021 after re-locating to Austin. Prior to his move, he spent 13 years in Los Angeles as a sound editor and re-recording mixer. His feature and documentary credits include work that has debuted at SXSW, Tribeca and Sundance – and television work that has aired on HBO, Nickelodeon, TLC and other networks. He has sound designed and mixed nearly 50 music videos, including the MTV VMA nominated videos for The Black Keys’ “Howlin’ For You” and Billie Eilish’s “All The Good Girls Go To Hell”. Brett has also mixed hundreds of successful advertising spots and trailers for major brands including Nissan, Spotify, Nickelodeon, Jelly Belly and Amazon. In 2019 he won a Clio, Gold Sports Award, for Formula E’s “Street Level”. Outside of Soundcrafter, he plays bass, and creates and distributes unique custom sound effects libraries.
Wayne Bell
Production Mixer, Field Recordist, Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Wayne has been in Austin working on film sound for over three decades. He and Tobe Hooper designed the sound for the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He also specializes in producing radio documentaries where he not only designs all the sound but also writes the script and performs the narration. He has been a field recordist, sound editor and sound designer on many Linklater and other Texas based films. He is a well-known recordist of unique Texas sounds and is often hired by out of state film productions to do field recording. Re-recording mixer credits include the A&E series Shipping Wars and TLC's My 600lb Life.
Dane Butler
ADR Mixer, Sound Designer, Sound Editor, Re-Recording Mixer
Dane Butler graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science in Sound Recording Technology. During his final years he interned at Texas Crew Productions with the editorial department, Pony Sound, and Chez Boom Audio, as well as working at TBD post as an Audio Assistant for a short-term contract position. Shortly after he began working at Chez Boom Audio as the primary ADR Mixer under Shayna Brown, where he continues to work on projects such as Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Power Rangers, The Boys, Star Trek Prodigy, Wrath of Man, West World, and others. He’s cut/recorded dialogue for Lone Star Beer, Dominos, Garmin, Uber Eats, Still Austin Whiskey, and other major brands. He’s also recorded audio books for Admiral McRaven, Louis Sachar, Tim Ferris, Jonathan Van Ness, and Mike Sarraille. In addition to his work at Chez Boom Audio & Soundcrafter, he’s a part-time sound-designer for Rooster Teeth Animation, where he works on feature films & TV shows.
Evan Dunivan
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Evan has worked as a sound editor and re-recording mixer since 2010. He has edited and/or mixed hundreds of long and short form narratives, documentaries, and television programs. Many have screened at festivals such as TIFF, Cannes, Berlin, Tribeca, and SXSW. He has edited and mixed documentaries and television shows that have aired on HBO, Showtime, PBS, A&E, Discovery, TLC, History, and more. Evan studied Sound Design for Visual Media at Vancouver Film School and has since worked for American Film Institute, UCLA, and University of Texas at Austin. He has worked for Soundcrafter since 2012.
Glenn Eanes, C.A.S.
Sound Editor, Foley Mixer, Re-recording Mixer
In addition to editing and mixing on many narrative and documentary features, Glenn has been the lead Re-recording Mixer for most of the episodes of television mixed at Soundcrafter since 2010. In 2014, he expanded to feature Sound Supervision with Eric Hueber's Flutter, for which he was also the Re-recording mixer. As a Foley Mixer, Glenn’s credits include Richard Linklater’s Last Flag Flyingand Where’d You Go Bernadette, and an Emmy nomination as part of the sound team for the 2016 documentary Tower. Before working in Post Sound, Glenn worked with computer audio and chip design in the tech industry for over seven years. He received a B.S. in Radio, Television and Film at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008.
Susan Fitz-Simon
Lead Foley Artist, Sound Editor
Susan is the Foley supervisor of Soundcrafter. Her two paths of music and dance merged and Susan found her calling in the craft of Foley. She worked at the Warner Burbank stage and many other Los Angeles Foley stages until 2007 when she moved to Austin. At Soundcrafter she has not only continued as a Foley artist but has expanded into sound editing. She has been a guest lecturer at the School of Theater, Film and Television at the University of California at Los Angeles and the Radio-Television-Film Department at the University of Texas, Austin. Foley credits include over 2,000 episodes of TV including: Orange is the New Black, 3rdRock from the Sun, Fear Factor, The Apprentice, Survivor, That 70’s Show,andFriends, and the featuresWhere’d you go Bernadette?, Last Flag Flying, Everybody Wants Some!!, Bernie,Before Midnight, and Boyhood. Dialogue editing credits include the A&E series Shipping Warsand TLC's My 600lb Life. She received an Emmy nomination for her work on Tower.
Miles Foster-Greenwood
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Miles studied Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin, and focused on sound and music composition during his time there. After earning his Bachelor's degree, he joined the Soundcrafter team in 2013. He has since worked as a dialogue editor, foley editor, and sound designer on many projects including Boyhood, Tower,Where'd You Go Bernadette and Last Flag Flying. He has been the re-recording mixer on The Iron Orchard, Seadrift, Shoot the Moon Right Between the Eyes, and episodes of My 600 lb. Life and UFOs: The Lost Evidence. Miles occasionally sound edits for StuckOnOn as well as the University of Texas at Austin, where he has mixed many student films.
Tom Hammond
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Tom is the founder of Soundcrafter. He has been the supervising sound editor and/or re-recording mixer on many of Richard Linklater’s films and at least 100 other narrative and documentary films. He intermittently teaches and quest lectures in the Radio-Television-Film Department at the University of Texas at Austin. He received a BFA and MFA in film/video production from the California Institute of the Arts. Earlier he studied physics and music composition at Whitman College.
Justin Hennard
Production Mixer, Field Recordist, Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Before working in sound Justin started out as self-taught filmmaker and photographer. He has also been a Production Assistant, DP and Picture Editor. His science fiction feature Moonlight by the Sea won him two awards and his sound design for the film got him a job working at Soundcrafter. Since then he has been a sound editor, sound designer and field recordist on many of Richard Linklater'sfilms. He has been a production mixer on the documentary, The Horse Whisper, and many reality TV episodes for MTV. He expanded into supervision with David Gordon Green's feature Manglehorn and the pilot for Amazon Studio's Red Oaks. For both shows he was also the sound designer and the lead re-recording mixer. He has also taught in the Radio-Television-Film Department at the University of Texas at Austin.
Morgan Honaker
Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
While studying Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin, Morgan worked as a studio assistant at the LAITS Audio Department, where her fellow crewmembers trained her in a broad spectrum of audio principles ranging from cassette tape transplanting to live event mixing to podcast production. After graduating in 2017, she became a sound designer and dialogue editor in several creative industries including film, television, video games, and podcasts. Her work has screened at numerous festivals including Palm Springs, Hot Docs, Slamdance, and Krakow. Morgan has been the principal sound designer and mixer on the award-winning podcast The Great Fail since its inception, and several of her projects as a sound designer and re-recording mixer have been featured on The New Yorker’s website and HBO Max.
Korey Pereira, M.P.S.E.
Supervising Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer
Korey joined the Soundcrafter team in 2013 and has since worked on a variety of projects including the last four of Richard Linklater’s films and over 100 episodes of reality tv. Outside of his work at Soundcrafter, Korey has been the dialogue editor on two seasons of Rooster Teeth’s series, Day 5, as well as supervised, mixed or edited a wide variety of content for film television, web and immersive media. Korey earned a B.S in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. Korey is now a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin’s department of Radio-Television-Film as well as an active member of M.P.S.E.
Madeleine Stevens
Sound Editor, Re-recording mixer
Madeleine studied Radio-Television-Film at the University of North Texas in Denton, and graduated with honors in 2015. Her internships at Detour Filmproduction and the Austin Film Society completely immersed her in the Austin film scene, and introduced her to Tom's work at Soundcrafter. After a summer as an editorial production assistant on David Gordon Green's film, Stronger, Madeleine knew that post was where she wanted to work. She enjoys editing projects, managing Soundcrafter’s website and social media, and helping around the studio with schedules and bookings. She was an apprentice sound editor for Where’d You Go Bernadette? and recently mixed her first three short films, Departure, Bloom, and The One and Only. In 2019 she mixed her first feature, Summer Nights directed by fellow UNT alum, Erik Olson.
